Swedish: This style is the most commonly offered massage technique. It uses long strokes and kneading of the muscles. It is primarily used for full body sessions promoting full relaxation, circulation and the relief of muscle tension.

Deep Tissue: This modality is used to release chronic patterns of tension in the body using long slow strokes and deep finger pressure (or perhaps pressure from using the thumb/knuckles/forearm/elbow) on tensed areas. Improves body alignment and freedom of movement.

Trigger Point: Concentrated finger pressure is applied to tender areas in the muscles in order to break the cycle of spasm and pain.

Acupressure: An ancient Chinese massage using finger point pressure designed to release muscle tension and promote healing. Pressure is applied along vital energy points to improve energy flow

Rosen Method ® Bodywork: Utilizes gentle touch and verbal communication to help clients to release suppressed emotions and subsequently muscular tension in some instances. (Click here to learn more about Rosen Method.)

Seated Massage: This form of massage is generally used in the workplace, at trade shows & marketing events. It’s easy to perform in a “public” setting, as people are fully clothed. The chair takes up very little space. The sessions are short, so it can easily fit into an employee's break time (usually 15 to 20 minutes). There are a multitude of benefits not only to the employee, but to the employer as well.

Pregnancy Massage: Along with pregnancy comes significant physiological, psychological, structural, relational, and spiritual changes in a woman’s life. Although pregnancy is a welcome blessing for most, it also brings with it many changes. Bodywork is a very effective form of adjunctive healthcare for both mother and baby, offering a wide range of benefits. One of the major benefits to the baby (that is rarely talked about) is that when the stress levels in the mom are reduced, it reduces the amount of “stress homomones” going to the baby. Thus, there is much less likelihood of the new infant suffering irritability, restlessness, crying and digestive disturbances (i.e., colic.) (Needless to say, this is also a major benefit to the entire family as well as the baby!)

Infant Massage Classes – Teaching Parents: Private or small group classes to teach expectant parents or new parents how to safely massage their newborns or infants. Loving touch lessens tension, fussiness and irritability. Digestion is aided and this can provide relief of gas and colic. Massage is also a wonderful way to lessen stress for both parent and baby. It enhances bonding, conveys nurturing and love, aids growth and development, promotes communications, improves baby’s sleep. Who would not want to provide all these benefits to their baby?

Reiki: Reiki (pronounced: “Ray – key”) is a Japanese system of relaxation and stress reduction that often promotes healing. Reiki is a form of "hands-on" healing similar to techniques that have been practiced for thousands of years. Reiki is powerful, and yet very gentle. The word "Reiki" comes from two Japanese words, "rei" and "ki". Ki is life force energy. It is the life force energy that animates all living things. All healers work with ki. What sets Reiki apart from other forms of healing is that it is Reiki, not just ki. Rei means universal, meaning that it is everywhere. So, one definition of Reiki is universal life force energy.

Chakra/Energy Balancing: A balancing of the body’s energy field and energy centers (charkas) through laying hands on specific charkas with the intent to relieve acute emotional and physical conditions bringing the whole person into balance.
