Patricia Angelina has been practicing in the field of bodywork since 1990. She is a Certified massage therapist and a Licensed massage practitioner in Texas. She is also a Rosen Method bodywork practitioner and Rosen Method movement teacher. She has been working in association with chiropractors, medical doctors and psychotherapists in her private practice.
Prior to her bodywork career, she was a full time mom while her children were young; a part-time grief counselor; and later on when the children were older she worked at a software computer company in Silicon Valley, California.
Her experiences working in corporate America highlighted clearly the amount of stress and tension so many people endure through the workplace and high pressured jobs. Stress related illnesses, anxiety and depression were amongst some of the negative side affects she witnessed in abundance. Many people were not happy in their jobs and this bled into their personal lives as well. Seeing all the high levels of stress is a major part of the reason Patricia chose the field of bodywork to specialize in.
You will discover that Patricia has been professionally trained to give incredibly soothing and therapeutic massages with a healing touch. Her work comes straight from her heart through her hands with her focus on the whole person, integrating body, mind, spirit and emotions. She strongly believes that to be fully alive one needs to become more aware of his/her body. She strives to provide a comfortable and safe space to encourage healing and a profoundly relaxing experience. Whether you prefer deep, medium or light pressure she will design a session specifically to meet your needs.
During the summer of 2005, Patricia sold her bodywork practice in California and relocated with her family to Houston, Texas. She looks forward to having a chance to meet you and work with you.
Patricia is devoted to doing the work she loves - and it shows!
Patricia holds a Bachelor's degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Her massage certification was received from the National Holistic Institute in California. The Rosen Method Institute in Berkeley, California, is where she earned her certification as a Rosen Method bodywork practitioner and her Rosen Method movement teacher certification. She has broadened her skills and knowledge by studying various modalities of bodywork, including: acupressure, Reiki, and chakra/energy balancing.
